Welcome to Broom. We're a small, award-winning, pet-friendly home cleaning company in Denver. We're not a big corporate franchise. We know our cleaners by name, and our clients trust us with their homes, kids, and pets.
What the Job Is
- You work solo in customers' homes, not in teams.
- You use your own car to drive between jobs.
- You follow a cleaning checklist and a route app on your phone.
- Most days you'll be walking, bending, lifting, and moving for several hours.
- You'll be around dogs, cats, and other pets almost every day.
What We Expect Every Day
- Be on time. If you're supposed to arrive at 9:00, that doesn't mean "pulling up at 9:05."
- Communicate with the office. Text when you arrive and leave each home. If you're running late, text us as soon as you know.
- Follow the checklist. We promise specific tasks to clients. You don't get to freestyle the job.
- Respect the home. No smoking, vaping, eating their food, or going through personal items.
- Be honest. If you break or damage something, you tell us. We'd rather know the truth than find out later.
What is NOT Allowed
- No side jobs from our clients. If a client asks you to clean for them on the side, you must say no and tell the office.
- No no-shows. If you accept a route, you're committing to showing up. Emergencies happen, but disappearing is not an option here.
- No drama in homes. No arguments, no talking badly about clients, no bringing personal issues into the house.
Safety and "Hard Days"
Some homes are very clean. Some are very messy. You will see pet hair, dirty dishes, and bathrooms that need serious work. That's the job.
If you ever feel unsafe (aggressive pet, illegal activity, severe biohazard, harassment, etc.), you leave the home and call/text the office right away.
We don't expect you to love every single house. We do expect you to show up, do solid work, communicate, and treat people with respect. In return, we give you steady work, clear expectations, and a team that actually has your back.
IMPORTANT: Later in this questionnaire you'll see a question that asks, "Why are you a good fit for this job specifically?" Please end that answer with the word Denver so we know you actually read this page.
